New brick, stone and block

Outdoor kitchen

An outdoor kitchen and bar on a covered paver patio, faced in engineered stacked stone with a matching stone column.

Service: New brick, stone and block Photos: 6

This one showed up as a row of bare cabinet boxes sitting on a new paver patio, appliances still in their plastic, and a patio post wrapped in bare sheathing. My part was the stone.

We faced the whole run in engineered stacked stone, wrapped the patio post to match so it looks like it belongs, and worked around the countertops and the stainless doors that were already set.

Finished, it is a full outdoor kitchen: built-in grill, stainless doors and drawers, a refrigerator, a tap tower, and a bar long enough for a row of stools. I only did the stone, but I would still like some credit for that beer tap. :-)

Worth noting on this one: it is stacked stone, and it sits under a covered patio. I do not recommend stacked stone anywhere it takes weather, because there is no mortar in those joints to keep water out. Under a roof like this it is a different proposition.
