New chimney in engineered stone
A new chimney chase on a log home clad in mortared engineered stone from the framing up, finished with a cast stone crown.
We picked this one up framed and wrapped, ready for stone. The chase runs the full height of the gable end on a log home out in the pines, so everything above the deck came off scaffold.
On a chase this tall, keeping the finished stone clean as the work progresses saves a great deal of cleaning that nobody wants to pay for at the end.
We burned some midnight oil on this one, working under lights on the scaffold, which is about how it goes when you're a couple of hours from home and the weather is cooperating.
All done. Cast stone crown on top, a few lighter accent pieces set into the face, and it looks like it has been on that house since the day it was built.
