Meridian Masonic Temple

General repointing and brick repair on the Meridian Masonic Temple, with damaged brick and worn mortar found and replaced across the whole building.

Even the Masons need a mason from time to time. This one was the Meridian Masonic Temple, square and compass right there on the brick, and the job was general repointing and brick repair on the building envelope.

We combed the building for damaged and worn bricks and mortar for about a week. Up close you could see it plainly: brick faces eroding away, chipped and spalled corners, and open joints, with some of the rougher spots around the conduit runs and the electrical meter.

The work ran from the pavement to the roofline, so we had a boom lift on site for the high runs and the chimney while somebody else worked the joints down at ground level. There is a lot of wall on that building and not much of it is reachable from a ladder.

Damaged brick came out and new brick went in, joints got repointed to match, and the building quit looking like it needed anything.
